Asset Reality is delighted to support the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (#IAFCI) with the appointment of our SVP of Government Relations Thomas J. Abernathy as a board advisor.

TJ has a long-standing history with #IAFCI, having been an active member of the association for 18 years, first in the New York Chapter and later in the New England Chapter, where he served as Chapter Vice President. TJ will be joined by representatives from Coinbase, Circle, Binance.US, TRM Labs and Coinme, contributing to IAFCI’s ongoing mission to enhance financial crime investigation processes globally.    Despite growing expertise in blockchain investigations, digital asset seizures remain one of the most overlooked and challenging aspects of financial crime enforcement. Without the right training, investigators risk mismanaging cases—leading to lost assets, legal complications, and operational inefficiencies.
