To Help Protect Yourself from Identity Theft
Do not answer phone calls, texts, social media messages or email from numbers or people you do not know.
Photocopy contents of your wallet
Do not store personal information in your wallet.
Do not share or add SS number, or date of birth on checks.
Collect mail daily.
Use P.O. Box as your address when a way or place on hold.
Shred all sensitive mailing.
Monitor financial and medical statements.
Consider signing up for identity theft protection.
Learn how ATM skimming works and how to protect yourself.
Learn to know when it is safe to use public Wi-Fi networks.
Learn other ways to protect yourself and your credit from ID Theft.
Learn how to protect your child's information from identity theft.
